Job Title: RECEIVING CLERK
Reports To: CBO/PURCHASING SPECIALIST
General Job Description:
Oversees the work of the warehouse to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local rules. Ensures that the work of the warehouse is efficient and safe. Ensures that the warehouse is clean and orderly both inside and out. Monitors processes for receiving and delivery to verify that identified processes are followed. Works with Purchasing to ensure adherence to fixed asset inventory tracking and purchase order closure. Coordinates yearly fixed asset inventory. Responsible for the security of inventories.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Implement procedures and systems to ensure that warehouse activities are compliant and accurate.
- Utilize Visions system to ensure that items are received and purchase orders are closed.
- Monitor warehouse receiving and delivery processes to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local requirements.
- Oversee the warehouse for cleanliness and safety.
- Implement and maintain secure systems to protect district inventories and assets.
- Coordinate with the Purchasing for inventory and receiving procedures in accordance with federal, state, and local requirements.
- Coordinate and conduct yearly fixed asset inventory.
- Maintain the BMI or similar database for assets.
- Complete other tasks as deemed appropriate by the immediate supervisor and/or the superintendent.

Physical Requirements:
Sitting, standing, lifting, and carrying (up to 50 pounds), reaching, climbing, squatting, kneeling, and moving light furniture may be required. Ability to operate a forklift.

Equipment/Material Handled:
Must know how to operate a forklift, move pallets, and use a pallet jack.
Work Environment:
Must be able to work within various degrees of noise, temperature and air quality. Job responsibilities require both inside and outside assignments. Interruptions of work are routine. Flexibility and patience are required. Must be self-motivated and able to complete job assignments without direct supervision. Occasional after hour work may be required. Sitting, standing, lifting and carrying (up to 50 pounds), reaching, squatting, climbing stairs, kneeling, and moving light furniture may be required.
