District Partners has been engaged by a national non-profit to identify a hands-on Fractional Data Engineer to support ongoing enterprise data initiatives. This role augments an existing data team during a critical period of system rebuilding and automation, with an emphasis on Azure, Python, and AWS. Key Responsibilities:
- Rebuild and restore Azure SQL data warehouse tables and support ongoing development and optimization of ETL jobs.
- Code, automate, and document workflows involving Azure, AWS, and Python—ensuring processes are efficient, scalable, and thoroughly logged.
- Troubleshoot existing jobs, perform root cause analysis, and support integrations across systems, including Salesforce.
- Contribute to the automation and integration of business systems, leveraging APIs and Webhooks as needed.
- Collaborate with teammates to document, enhance, and support processes in both development and production environments.
- Participate in team meetings to understand data flows and enterprise architecture across Salesforce, BI, and back-end systems.
- Assist with project estimation, data mapping, and general maintenance tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 4 years of hands-on experience in a similar technical role.
- Strong skills in Python, Azure SQL, and AWS (especially Lambda and containerization).
- Experience working with Salesforce data structure, APIs (REST/SOAP), and integrating with cloud platforms.
- Solid understanding of data modeling, process mapping, and data flows.
- Knowledge of enterprise architecture and ability to support both project and production environments.
- Familiarity with ETL best practices, low-code/no-code environments, and agile collaboration.
- Strong communication, documentation, and independent problem-solving skills.
