The Practice: District Psychiatry and Wellness is a boutique concierge psychiatry and wellness
practice located in Alexandria, VA. Our fee-for-service model enables us to offer flexible
appointments, longer sessions, and direct patient/provider access during designated hours. Our
mission is to deliver the high quality, personalized care that patients need in order to actually heal
and maintain wellness.
The Role: We are seeking a compassionate, skilled, and knowledgeable part-time Child Psychiatrist
to join our concierge mental health clinic in Alexandria, Virginia. In this role, you will provide
comprehensive psychiatric assessments, diagnoses, and treatment plans for children and
adolescents as well as some adults experiencing a variety of mental health concerns. You will work
closely with a multidisciplinary team and provide high-touch care in a private, patient-centered
setting. This is a part time role to start, with an opportunity to grow to half or full time.
Qualifications:
• Education: MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• Licensing/Certification: Board-certified or board-eligible in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. Must
hold an active medical license to practice psychiatry in the state of Virginia.
• Experience: At least 5 years of experience in child psychiatry, preferably in outpatient, private
practice, or concierge settings OR completion of an accredited child psychiatry fellowship program.
• Skills:
- Comprehensive knowledge of child and adolescent psychiatric disorders and evidence-based
treatments.
- Ability to effectively manage psychiatric medication for children and adolescents.
- Ability to build strong, trusting relationships with children, families, and multidisciplinary
team members.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain psychiatric conditions and
treatment plans in a clear and compassionate manner.
- Ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively with a team of healthcare
professionals.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Bilingual (English/Spanish).
• Knowledge and experience with neurotechnology wearables.
Compensation:
• Hourly rate between $200 and $250.
