1.0 Probationary Family & Consumer Science Teacher - Anticipated

This is a posting for anticipated vacancies. 

Candidates processing a current NYS Certification in the appropriate subject area will be given preference.  Pending certifications meeting the following conditions may be accepted:

1. The appropriate NYS certification will be issued by September 1^st
2. A letter from the college stating the applicant is expected to have their certification by Sept 1^st ♦OR♦ an unofficial transcript and exam results with a passing grade should be attached to the application.

Please note:

1. This is an anticipated vacancy only. There may or may not be an available vacancy.
2. Vacancies will be filled internally and then, if a vacancy is still available, external candidates will be considered.
3. Internal placements and transfers will take place on or around April 30.
4. All qualified external candidates will participate in the screening process which will be conducted during this posting.
5. The screening process will include a short virtual interview with a director.
6. Screening results will be communicated within 7-10 business days.
7. Informational emails will be sent periodically to keep you informed of our progress.

ESSENTIAL CORE CHARACTERISTICS

1. Must be New York State certified in Family and Consumer Sciences or Home and Careers

1. Demonstrate ability to motivate and inspire students of varying ability levels.
2. Demonstrate ability to work cooperatively and effectively with staff members, colleagues, administration, parents, and community groups.
3. Demonstrate a strong work ethic and attention to detail and organization.
4. Ability to reflect and contemplate on teaching – allowing for growth and excellence.

SALARY:      $41,040-$52,800

                    Per WTA Contract
