SUMMARY: Lead the school community to increase student achievement through planning and organizing a school culture focused on teaching and learning, continuous improvement of curriculum, instruction and assessment, effective management of operations and resources in a safe and orderly environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Provides direction and oversight of the administration and delivery of education ensuring academic accountability for students; evaluates effectiveness of educational instruction and provides feedback; ensures adherence with applicable state, federal and district policies, guidelines, rules and regulations.
- Collaborates with other administrators, educators, staff, parents, community leaders and other stakeholders to ensure educational program effectiveness and facility safety; addresses concerns and issues; develops, coordinates and oversees the implementation of instructional program, issue resolutions and program improvements; ensures educational program meets the needs of community served.
- Performs budget planning, prioritizing and managing; oversees the effective use of resources within budget parameters; provides recommendations for budget development and adjustments.
- Plans, organizes and oversees school facility and community events; oversees and ensures the safety and security of participants, facility and equipment.
- Researches professional development needs; provides and coordinates the delivery of professional development to ensure the alignment of instructional practice with district initiatives.
- Reviews and analyzes student achievement data; prepares and maintains reports and program documentation.
- Oversees and provides direct supervision including conducting performance evaluations, coordinating training, and implementing hiring, discipline and termination procedures.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Master's degree in educational administration or related field required.
- Three (3) years teaching experience required.
- Prior Assistant Principal experience required.
- Experience in supervising and evaluating classroom instruction.
LICENSING/CERTIFICATIONS:
- Valid Arizona Administrator certification.
- Obtain and maintain a valid Arizona Identity Verified Prints (IVP) Fingerprint Clearance Card (AZ IVP FPCC).

Working Conditions: Work is routinely performed in an indoor, office environment; may require some work in the field with moderate exposure to travel.
