Primary Purpose:
Maintain all financial records including collecting, receipting, depositing, disbursing, and accounting for all school monies and serve as purchaser for campus.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
High school diploma or GED
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Advance knowledge of bookkeeping procedures
Typing and computer skills
Basic mathematical and accounting skills
Must be bondable
Experience:
Two years bookkeeping experience
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
- Maintain all financial records and accounts in an auditable condition.
- Make accurate and timely bank deposits.
- Prepare all accounting reports for campus principal, business office, and club sponsors.
- Prepare all checks; requests authorization and pay bills.
- Process all budget requests. Assist principal in maintenance of budget accounts. Rectify any discrepancies in budget read-out and high school records.
- Receive and verify deposits to all student activity accounts. Prepare monthly financial statements, reconcile bank statements, make deposits, etc.
- Process supply orders for campus through central supply or outside vendors as
- Process all campus expenditures, post to appropriate fund, secure approval, complete paperwork in appropriate budget folder, verify receipt of merchandise, forward paperwork for payment, and reconcile accounts monthly.
- Ensure accuracy of invoices for office materials and supplies with purchase orders.
- Verify the accuracy of all deposits upon receipt in finance office.
- Provide change for selected school activities.
- Collect and maintain records of student fines and fees.
- Maintain textbook financial receipts in auditable condition for use by textbook custodian for annual reports.
- Regular attendance; must be willing and able to report to work at designated site on a regular daily basis according to established work schedule.
- Keep informed of and complies with state and district policies and regulations concerning primary job functions.
- Perform sales tax collection and reporting.
- Maintain confidentiality of information.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the principal
