What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bus/Van Monitor position at District-Wide?
Saucon Valley School District seeks a Bus/Van Monitor.
JOB GOAL: To assist driver and special education students in having a safe ride to and from school.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist the driver in maintaining safety by insisting upon good school bus conduct and instructing students in safe practices.
- Establish a positive relationship with parents, students, and school personnel.
- Assist the driver in every way possible in the educational growth and development of each child as it relates to its transportation.
- Assist in every way necessary to meet the adaptive physical needs of the handicapped students by: Assisting students on and off vehicles when necessary AND Proper utilization of students’ equipment.
- Physically assist students in and out of car seats when necessary.
- Understands and maintains confidentiality in all matters
- Assumes responsibility for knowing and adhering to all District policies and procedures.
