- Salary placement is based on experience and education and is according to the 2025/26 salary schedule which is pending finalization. 24/25 Gross Salary for MA/0 experience was $58,299.20.

JOB TITLE: Speech-Language Pathologist
REQUIREMENTS:
Education Level:
- Master’s Degree in the area of Speech Pathology with a minimum of 36 graduate semester hours
Certification/Licensure:
- Nebraska Teaching Certificate or Special Services Certificate with an endorsement in Speech Pathology
Experience Desired:
- Successful teaching experience and/or clinical experience
Other Requirements:
- Knowledge of psycho-educational diagnosis, instructional materials, behavior modification and management, development and implementation of IEP’s, and integrated speech/language service delivery models

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
The essential functions of each employee’s position includes (1) regular, dependable in-person attendance on the job; (2) the ability to perform the identified tasks and to possess and utilize the identified knowledge, skills, and abilities and to perform the identified work activities; and (3) the ability to perform the physical requirements on their specific job description.
Basic:
The Speech/Language Pathologist is responsible for planning and providing evaluative, consultative, and habilitative services for eligible communicatively handicapped students. Functioning as a member of building resource teams whenever possible, the Speech/Language Pathologist shall assist other staff members and parents or guardians in the development and implementation of appropriate services designed to meet the individual needs of students referred.
Frequent:
- Identify, diagnose, assess, interpret, report, and assist in planning for the needs of students experiencing communicative disorders of fluency, voice, articulation, and/or language.
- Plan and/or participate in conferences with parents.
- Assist in the development of individual intervention or therapy plans for students, implement these plans through the provision of direct or indirect service to students, evaluate student's progress in therapy, and adjust student individual programs when necessary.
- Participate in Multi-Disciplinary Teams and staffings.
- Assist staff and parents in referring students to other community agencies when appropriate.
- Plan, participate in or evaluate inservice activities upon request of principals, staff, or Director of Student Services.
