Position Title: Continuous Improvement Lead
Reports To: Building Principal
Purpose: The Building Continuous Improvement Lead facilitates and supports the Professional Learning Community (PLC) process, ensuring collaboration around student outcomes, and fosters professional learning aligned with school goals to promote continuous improvement in instructional practices.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of three years of teaching experience, with the most recent year in the Urbandale Community School District.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to use data to inform decisions and drive continuous improvement efforts.
- Proven record of collaboration, particularly in the Professional Learning Community (PLC) process.
- Knowledge of instructional practices that establish a culture of dignity and belonging and student achievement.
- Commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Activating the PLC Process:
- Facilitate and support the Professional Learning Community (PLC) process, ensuring that teams are collaborating effectively around student outcomes.
- Guide teams in analyzing student performance data and developing instructional strategies to meet identified needs to support a Culture of Dignity and Belonging.
- Ensure the PLC process is aligned with building and district goals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Promoting Data-Driven Decision Making:
- Provide leadership in making data-based decisions that drive instruction, intervention, and school improvement efforts.
- Support teachers and staff in using assessment and progress-monitoring tools to inform instructional practices and interventions.
- Ensure that data collection processes are accurate, timely, and effectively used to support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaboration and Leadership:
- Work closely with building administrators, learning coaches, and other teacher leaders to align continuous improvement efforts with overall school improvement plans.
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to ensure that improvement strategies are implemented consistently and effectively across all grade levels and content areas.
- Serve as a key resource for staff, offering guidance and support in the use of data and instructional practices that drive student success.
