Position:                      ESY - Extended School Year Coordinator

Reports to:                  Director of Special Education

SUMMARY:

The ESY coordinator will oversee 8 individual programs in 4 different school locations. The coordinator will organize all student services and/or related services by creating schedules; communicating with parents, teachers, collateral agencies, and transportation company; provide ESY teachers/service providers with necessary information and required documents.

 

Responsible for student registration and transportation documentation that must be completed prior to June 1, 2025.

 

The responsibilities above include, but does not complete, the list of the coordinator's duties. 

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Successful completion of Criminal Records Check (CORI), and fingerprints
  • The ESY coordinator is expected to be in-district when ESY programs are in session. Additional time prior to the start of the ESY program is required to complete registration documents and meet with the Assistant Director of Student Services.

 

SCHEDULE: July 1, 2025 - August 7, 2025 (on-site)
In-session: Monday - Thursday from 8:25AM- 1:35PM; Must be available via cell to ensure all students receiving transportation arrive home safely.

While performing duties of this job, the employee may often remain in a stationary position for considerable periods of time. The employee will have also have ample periods of standing and may be required to traverse throughout the building. The employee must frequently use hands and frequently operates a computer and other office productivity machinery (i.e., calculator, copy machine, and computer printer). Physical abilities may also include lifting/carrying/pushing/pulling, stooping/crouching, reaching/handling, talking/hearing conversations, and near/far visual acuity/depth perception/color vision/field. Ability must be able to lift and/or push and pull 15 to 20lbs for short periods, and walk up and down stairs several times a day. The employee must be able to communicate effectively with students, staff members, and the public in person and on the telephone.
