Position:                     ESY - Child Development - Speech Language Pathologist 

Reports to:                 ESY Coordinator

SUMMARY:

The extended school year Speech and Language Pathologist will provide speech and language services and consultation to students within the Child Development Programs in the Hudson Public Schools.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide direct consultation and speech and language services to students within the district's Child Development programs
  • Work directly with ABA therapists, parents, guardians, and special educators in providing consultation around all areas of expressive, receptive and pragmatic language during ESY per the last signed and accepted IEP

Qualifications:

  • MA SLP License
  • Masters degree preferred
  • High School Diploma/GED required
  • Successful completion of Criminal Records Check (CORI), and fingerprints 

WORK SCHEDULE:

  • July 1, 2025 - August 7, 2025
  • Monday - Thursday (no friday classes)
  • 8:30am - 1:30pm

Extended school year hourly rates and work dates are established by the Superintendent of Schools in conjuction with the Special Education department.

While performing duties of this job, the employee may often remain in a stationary position for considerable periods of time. The employee will have also have ample periods of standing and may be required to traverse throughout the building. The employee must frequently use hands and frequently operates a computer and other office productivity machinery (i.e., calculator, copy machine, and computer printer). Physical abilities may also include lifting/carrying/pushing/pulling, stooping/crouching, reaching/handling, talking/hearing conversations, and near/far visual acuity/depth perception/color vision/field. Ability must be able to lift and/or push and pull 15 to 20lbs for short periods, and walk up and down stairs several times a day. The employee must be able to communicate effectively with students, staff members, and the public in person and on the telephone.
