Full-time K-12 Curriculum Director

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated K-12 Curriculum Director to join the Mitchell School District. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and evaluation of the K-12 curriculum across all subject areas, ensuring alignment with state standards and district goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a comprehensive K-12 curriculum that aligns with state standards and district goals
• Lead the development of curriculum maps, pacing guides, and instructional materials across all subject areas
• Provide professional development to teachers to ensure effective implementation of the curriculum
• Monitor student achievement data and provide recommendations for instructional improvement
• Collaborate with district leaders, teachers, and other stakeholders to ensure a cohesive and effective curriculum
• Stay current with educational research and trends to continually improve the curriculum
• Manage and supervise areas of instructional staff
• Prepare and present reports to the district leadership and school board regarding curriculum development and implementation
• Develop and maintain relationships with external organizations and vendors to ensure the availability of quality instructional materials
• The ability to research and write proposals to secure funding from various sources, including government agencies, foundations, and corporations

Qualifications:

• Master's degree in education or a related field
• K-12 education experience
• Strong knowledge of state standards and curriculum frameworks
• Demonstrated ability to lead, manage, and motivate a team
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
• Experience with project management and budgeting
• Knowledge of educational technology and digital resources
