What are the responsibilities and job description for the Nurse Substitute position at District-Wide?
Qualifications:
Current Texas Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN)
Current CPR
Responsibilities:
Follow CISD Health Services guidelines.
Follow communicable disease control procedures from the Texas Department of Health.
Work within the boundaries of Board Of Nurse Examiner guidlines.
Administer medications and treatments as ordered.
Provide care for student and staff illness and accidents.
Administer care based on individual health care plans and individual emergency care plans.
Document all student and staff visits on appropriate forms.
Basic knowledge of current practices for common childhood illnesses and chronic diseases (asthma, diabetes, seizures, anaphylaxis and use of emergency medicines).
Maintain confidentiality.
Communicate clearly orally and written.
