Hazleton Area School District
is seeking an Anticipated Opening for Practical Nursing Instructor
The qualifications of the instructors shall be as follows:
Graduation from an approved school of professional nursing.
Current registration as a professional nurse in this Commonwealth.
A baccalaureate degree, preferably in nursing, with additional preparation for teaching appropriate to the teaching of practical nursing.
Experience and skill in the practice of nursing.
Nursing experience involving direct patient care or teaching experience within 2 years of employment. Faculty and instructors shall give evidence of maintaining expertness in clinical and functional areas of responsibility.
The employment of less qualified instructors. Faculty or instructors with less academic preparation may be employed if qualified personnel is not available provided that less qualified faculty and instructors shall function under the direct guidance of a fully qualified faculty member and shall give evidence of continuing their academic preparation.
Applicants are required to submit a letter of interest, Teaching Application, Resume, Certification, Transcripts, 3 education related references, current Act 24 (82), Act 34, Act 114, Act 151 and Act 168 clearances. Successful candidates will need pre-employment drug test, physical and TB test. The deadline to apply is Friday, May 30, 2025 or until filled.
