What are the responsibilities and job description for the School Nutrition Program Assistant position at District Wide?
General Function & Scope:
The School Nutrition Programs Assistant will assist the Director of School Nutrition Programs in all aspects of the district nutrition program. This position will possibly be responsible for teaching students in nutrition courses.
Essential Functional Areas of Responsibilities:
- Performs and directs job-related proficiency with the highest ethical integrity.
- Performs and directs with a commitment to promote a quality CNP that meets the nutritional needs of the customers served.
- Performs and directs with an overall nature that is committed to the goals and visions of the school district.
- Performs and directs appropriate communication skills with the Program Director.
- Completes all CNP tasks as assigned by the Program Director, including but not limited to:
- FSMC contract review form
- Completing the New/Rebid documentation
- Completing the contract renewal documentation
- Processing meal applications
- Processing monthly meal claim
- Reconciling FSMC invoices for accuracy and USDA foods credits
- Completing the Paid Lunch Equity (PLE) tool annually to adjust student meal prices as applicable
- Assist with the completion of the annual Financial Report
- Complete the annual CEP report
- Complete the monthly District Certification processes
- Periodically audit recipes for yield and contribution accuracy
- District concessions
- Non-program student meals
- Instruction to students
