Job Title: Speech Language Pathologist
Responsible to: Director of Special Services, Building Principal
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Communication Disorders.
- Master of Science in Speech Language Pathology.
Primary Functions:
Screening, diagnosing and treating students with various communication disorders.
General Responsibilities:
Screenings; full speech and/or language evaluations, if needed; writing and implementing Individualized Educational Programs (IEPs); and treatment.
Specific Duties:
- Develop schedules.
- Communicate with parents, teachers and students.
- Prepare required reports (IEPs, Evaluation Reports, Medicaid, and Student Progress).
- Determine appropriate therapy approaches for each student.
