What are the responsibilities and job description for the Substitute Cooks position at District Wide?
SALARY: $20.81/hour
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Assist in the preparation of food, food portions and serving to students, staff and visitors
- Operate Point of Sale system
- Notify the Food Service Director or Head Cook of supplies that need to be ordered
- Clean and maintain all food service equipment, and notify the Head Cook of fixtures and equipment that needs repair or replacement
- Clean up and maintain the kitchen and garbage collection area
- Receive and store supplies and maintain all storage areas
- Follow applicable State and Federal regulations for the USDA Child Nutrition Program
REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to work well within a team, interact with staff and students in a friendly and helpful manner
- Ability to work in fast paced environment
- Ability to meet physical requirements of the position
- Maine Dept. of Education Criminal History Records Check (CHRC) Authorization, or ability to obtain
