Teacher - Elementary Summer Academy

Position Goal: To plan, organize and implement a supplemental instructional program in an in-person learning environment that guides and encourages students to further develop and fulfill their academic potential. To be responsible to our student's needs, this years Summer Academy will focus on early literacy and foundational math skills for current K-3 and K-5 multi-lingual learners. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• In collaboration with the Summer Academy Program Coordinators and grade level partners develop and implement plans designed to assist students with math and/or reading skills and competencies.
• Possess the ability to interpret assessment data and use that information to program for students per the direction of the Summer Academy Program Coordinators, Reading Specialist, and/or building administrator
• Applies professional instructional techniques and theories applicable to assigned subject areas.
• Assists with duties related to the supervision of participating students as directed by the Summer Academy Program Coordinators.
• Provides ideas for instruction and/or reinforcement of skills.
• Attends and participates in appropriate training activities and/or meetings. Maintains record of attendance and student engagement aligned with district matrix.
• Collaborate in the preparation of instructional activities.
• Follows school district human relations policies and promotes good human relations practices with students, staff, and parents.

Program will run Monday through Friday.

Teachers must commit to the entire 19 days of Summer Academy

Program Start Date: June 30, 2025 (No School on July 4^th)

Program End Date: July 25, 2025

Hours: 8:30 AM – 12:30 PM

Educational Level: Bachelor’s Degree required, Valid PA Instructional I or Instructional II Certification
