2025-2026 School Year
Qualifications: Elementary/Secondary Certified OR Special Education Certified
QUALIFICATIONS: Teacher Certification as Set by State Certification
Advanced degree in Education, Psychology or a related field (preferred)
Certified BCaBA or RBT (preferred)
REPORTS TO: Director of Special Education
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Consult with school teams on implementation of behavior tiered support system.
- Conduct classroom observations and follow-up consultations with school teams.
- Model intervention strategies and provide timely feedback to staff.
- Assist in creating visual or instructional supports for students and classroom teachers.
- Direct and/or provide consultative behavior interventions for students.
- Provide data collection and progress monitoring on students.
- Conduct data analysis on student data.
- Complete behavior intervention and behavior support plan fidelity checks.
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary school teams on tiered behavior interventions
- Model and provide training on appropriate behavior interventions with administrators, teachers, paraprofessional, and teacher’s assistants.
- Attend and participate in professional activities and serves on committees as required.
- Actively involvement in professional growth activities.
- Perform and assume other responsibilities and tasks as may be assigned by Supervisor.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Applicant should be able to regularly stand, walk, stoop, and lift at least 20 pounds. May be required to implement or assist with physical restraint in certain situations.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
180-day calendar plus 10 flex days. Salary to be determined by the Board of Education.
EVALUATION:
Job performance will be evaluated annually by the Director of Special Education.
