What are the responsibilities and job description for the District Specialized Assistant Substitute (2) position at DISTRICT?
MMUUSD is seeking flexible, reliable, and compassionate individuals to join our team as District Specialized Assistant Substitutes to substitute for our Behavior Interventionists throughout our District. This full-time role (40 hours/week, Monday–Friday) is based on the school year calendar.
The District Specilialized Assistant Substitute will primarily support our alternative education program by providing coverage for behavior interventionists or working one-on-one with students who require individualized support. Assignments may vary day-to-day depending on student and staff needs.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide direct support to students, including those with social-emotional and behavioral challenges

Implement and follow individualized support and behavior plans

Foster positive, supportive relationships with students and staff

Adapt to changing needs and environments across different school settings
Qualifications:

Strong flexibility and adaptability

Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team

Experience working with children, especially those with behavioral or emotional needs, is preferred
