We announce the following ANTICIPATED SPECIAL EDUCATION TEACHING vacancy in Rochester Community Schools for the 2025-26 school year. Applications will be taken until filled.
Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) TEACHER
DISTRICTWIDE
FULL AND PART TIME
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must hold valid Michigan Teaching Certificate
- Must be certified in Autism Spectrum Disorder - SV
- Experience working with Austim Spectrum Disorder, preferred.
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.
SALARY:
Per Rochester Education Association Master Agreement
JOB GOAL:
To devise and implement individualized programs for students who have special needs which prevent them from learning through traditional means.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Comply with timelines, laws and regulations that relate to district, state, federal policies and procedures.
- Monitor and document student progress on IEP goals.
- Collaborate with all service providers, and other staff to develop instruction and support goals that are designed to meet the learning needs of students.
- Compile and submit monthly Medicaid reports.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of individual students.
- Participate in building meetings as directed by the building principal.
- Performs other duties as requested by the Assistant Superintendent or Building Principal.
