What are the responsibilities and job description for the P3 MIGRANT HOME EDUCATOR/ELEM PARA position at Districtwide?
PRIMARY PURPOSE:
To educate migrant parents so that they will, in turn, educate their children, so that their children are not lacking in abilities that non-migrant children have. In addition, working with migrant elementary children to help them reach the state standards.
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:
- High school diploma or GED
SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:
- Ability to work well with children
- Knowledge of general office equipment
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Must be bilingual
EXPERIENCE:
- Prefer at least 1-2 years experience working with children (i.e.: as a substitute teacher, as a teacher’s aide, or as a daycare worker)
