About the Role
As a Network Security Engineer, you ll design, implement, and manage firewall solutions to protect client networks. You ll configure security rules, VPNs, and appliances, conduct regular security reviews, troubleshoot issues, and ensure compliance with industry standards. Additionally, you ll collaborate with IT security teams, respond to incidents, and generate reports on performance and security.
Key Responsibilities- Design and implement firewall solutions aligned with security policies and compliance requirements.
- Configure and maintain firewalls, VPNs, and security appliances to prevent cyber threats.
- Monitor and analyze firewall logs and network traffic for security breaches.
- Troubleshoot and resolve firewall-related issues to minimize downtime.
- Conduct security assessments, audits, and incident response planning.
- Ensure adherence to best practices and regulatory security standards.
- Document firewall configurations, updates, and security incidents.
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent experience.
- 5 years in network security with a focus on firewall management.
- Hands-on experience with Cisco, Palo Alto, Fortinet, Check Point, or similar technologies.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, security principles, and best practices.
- Experience with SIEM tools, IDS/IPS, and network monitoring solutions.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Relevant certifications (CISSP, CISM, CCNP Security, PCNSE, Fortinet NSE) are highly desirable.
