GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The Quality Assurance Manager plays a key hands-on role in driving quality and compliance across the organization. This highly motivated, detail-oriented individual ensures that products and systems meet rigorous quality standards.
Reporting to the Director of Quality, the Quality Assurance Manager supports the QA team by developing and implementing quality assurance and control policies while collaborating cross-functionally to align with company-wide strategic and quality objectives.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
In collaboration with the Director of Quality, the Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for the following:
Quality Management System (QMS):
• Oversee implementation and maintenance of DITEK’s ISO 9001-compliant QMS.
• Develop policies and procedures for documentation control, corrective actions, internal audits, nonconforming product controls, and equipment calibration.
• Ensure alignment of the QMS with organizational strategic goals.
QA Policies & Procedures:
• Design and maintain QA protocols, procedures, and supporting tools (e.g., Microsoft Access and Excel) for material verification, in-process inspections, final product audits, and internal quality audits.
Process Improvement:
• Identify and lead QA process improvements to enhance quality and operational efficiency. Support broader organizational strategic initiatives.
Team Leadership & Development:
• Supervise, train, and mentor QA staff: Foster cross-training and high performance through regular performance feedback and development planning.
Cross-Department Collaboration:
• Partner with other departments to integrate quality standards across production, support, and improvement initiatives.
• Participate in product design reviews and change control activities.
Supply Chain Quality:
• Collaborate with Purchasing to evaluate and select suppliers.
• Review supplier compliance with codes of conduct, coordinate third-party audits, and manage supplier performance and corrective actions.
Customer Focus:
• Address customer quality concerns and complaints.
• Analyze returned products and report findings to ensure timely, effective resolution.
Regulatory & Standards Compliance:
• Ensure products and processes meet all relevant QMS, regulatory, and company policy requirements.
• Respond to customer documentation requests regarding product compliance, trade policies, and sustainability.
Data Analysis & Reporting:
• Analyze nonconformance and process data to identify trends, root causes, and areas for corrective action.
• Report on key quality metrics and performance indicators.
Traceability:
• Conduct regular audits to verify raw material and product traceability, ensuring documentation protocols are followed.
Training Programs:
• Develop and implement training based on IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001 standards for workmanship and quality.
• Ensure quality-related policies and procedures are effectively communicated, and training records are maintained.

Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s degree in Quality Management, Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related field.
• Advanced degree or relevant certifications preferred (e.g., ASQ Certified Quality Manager, Six Sigma, Certified Quality Engineer [CQE], Certified Quality Auditor [CQA], IPC-A-610, and J-STD-001). An equivalent combination of education, professional training, and relevant work experience will be considered.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality assurance or quality control within a manufacturing environment, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
• Proven experience implementing and managing ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
• Strong knowledge of quality assurance methodologies, including ISO 9001 and IPC acceptability standards for electronic devices.
• Familiarity with environmental and regulatory compliance requirements such as RoHS, REACH, Prop 65, TSCA, Conflict Minerals, USMCA, and the Buy America Act.
• Proven leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to drive root cause analysis and continuous improvement.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and quality management tools/software (e.g., QMS platforms statistical analysis tools).
• Experience supporting product development cycles, including design reviews and change control processes.
• Comfortable working in regulated environments and responding to audits or customer documentation requests.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to clearly convey complex quality issues across all levels of the organization.
