Position Summary
The Accounting Clerk is responsible for supporting the Accounting Manager by performing the cash count, maintaining various spreadsheets, and document entry into various systems. They are thorough, accurate, and self-sufficient when performing their responsibilities. This role is part-time, approximately 4 hours per day and would be between Sunday – Wednesday each week.
Responsibilities
- Preparing cash vendor payments and maintaining tracking spreadsheets.
- Providing cash payments to the vendors when they come to pick up their payments.
- Prepare cash reimbursements for vendors/employees, as needed.
- Preparing weekly cash deposit and providing to our cash transport company on designated pick-up day.
- Count cash received during the previous business day and update appropriate spreadsheets and/or systems.
- Cross-reference daily cash count and debit card processing in the Company’s designated accounting software.
- Generate various accounting reports as needed.
- Verify spreadsheets and reports for accuracy.
- Maintain records, track invoices, and prepare cash drawers.
- Ensure Company goals, deadlines, and performance standards are met.
- Maintain regular and consistent attendance as scheduled by department / executive leadership.
- Promote a work environment that is positive, customer-service oriented, and compliant with established policies and procedures.
- Demonstrate a strong work ethic, and the willingness and ability to put forth the level of effort required to fulfill job duties.
- Be well informed of information and knowledge shared on the Company’s communication platforms, and actively seek additional knowledge.
- Maintain an elevated knowledge of cannabis, cannabis products, brand standards, and compliance.
- Complete and maintain OSHA 10 General Industry Certification.
- Work must be done on company-issued equipment only while connected to enterprise-grade secured networks.
- Other duties may be assigned similar to the above consistent with the knowledge, skills, and abilities required for the job. Not all of the duties may be assigned to a position.

Qualifications
- At least one (1) year of experience handling cash and cash equivalents.
- Must be 21 years or older.
- Data entry skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Ability to perform simple calculations.
- Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Discretion in handling sensitive Company information.
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
- Ability to effectively interact with internal and external business partners.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must pass a comprehensive background check.
- Must pass an FBI background check in order to obtain a valid Nevada Agent Card.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
- Ability to understand and follow relevant health and safety regulations.
- Ability to commute to work location and perform duties while on premises.
- Ability to multi-task and remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment while ensuring attention to detail.
- Must have the ability to work a 4 day workweek, between Sunday – Wednesday each week for approximately 4 hours each day.
