DiVal Safety Equipment, a leader in the Fire, EMS and industrial safety equipment distribution business, is looking for a Warehouse Supervisor with a “whatever it takes” attitude. The main focus of this position is to process daily orders with the assistance of the warehouse staff and maintain a safe, credible and positive working environment at our Buffalo, NY location.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible to complete ‘A Day’s Work in a Day’ to include but not limited to:
- Ensure all Purchase Orders that arrive are received and put away within 24 hours.
- ‘Facting’ maintenance of the warehouse completed daily. (F.A.C.T.S. = face product, align product, clean/cut, tag, and sweep).
- Focusing on safety at all times – safety training and direction must be adhered to at all times, reporting any existing or potential safety concerns to management.
- Responsible for picking and packing orders for customers and sales professionals based on priority assigned by management.
- Will communicate with the Galeton team on anything order related, back orders, reallocations, order changes, etc.
- Cycle counting and reconciling.
- Creating weekly, and quarterly reports.
- Will be tasked with receiving and putting away product delivered in from our vendors.
- Processing returns, and credits while communicating updates and emailing for RMA’s.
- Providing accurate and dependable delivery of allocated orders on an as needed basis as directed by management.
- Reporting directly to the Warehouse Manager, Assistant Managers and Supervisors out of Buffalo, NY in accordance with other Management Team members.
- Performing on site replenishment of inventory in vending machines at a local customer.
- Keep a clean and organized work area.
- Performing additional warehouse duties that may arise and assigned by management.
Skills and Requirements:
- Strong organizational skills and detail oriented.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. on a repetitive basis.
- Capable of climbing ladders and standing for extended periods of time.
- Possess advanced computer experience, AS400 background preferred.
- Palm pilot / RF training a plus along with formal warehouse equipment training including but not limited to: tow motor, order picker, reach truck and scissors lift.
- High school diploma / GED equivalent.
