Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Control Panel Assembler to join our dynamic team. The Control Panel Assembler is responsible for the physical assembly and wiring of control panels. They will fabricate panels based on schematics, including layout and physical mounting of components to the subpanel, wiring of all components and testing of the panel. In addition to meeting daily production needs, this position will be asked to perform other light building maintenance duties as needed. This role is essential in ensuring high-quality production standards and will involve working with various tools and equipment to fabricate and assemble parts according to specifications.
Duties
- Build, assemble and wire control panels using technical drawings or work instructions
- Ensure safety standards are met throughout all steps of the assembly process
- Proactively identify and communicate issues with schematics (drawings), tools or machines to Panel Shop Lead
- Troubleshoot panel issues to eliminate wiring errors and component malfunctions.
- Observe stock levels of panel shop consumables and report low material levels to Panel Shop Lead
- Manufacture of premade or cut materials and assemblies.
- General office maintenance: Light replacement, furniture moving, etc.
- General housekeeping: daily cleanup, removal of trash from the shop/ warehouse, etc.
Requirements
- 2 years experience as a panel assembler
- In-depth knowledge of fundamental manufacturing processes and skills with a variety of assembly tools – hand held drills, termination screwdrivers, wire-cutters and various other hand tools
- Ability to interpret electrical diagrams
- Independent problem solving capability
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Time management and organizational skills
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
