Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly as they enter the establishment and provide them with menus.
- Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently to optimize table turnover while ensuring guest comfort.
- Assist guests with inquiries about the menu, specials, and restaurant policies.
- Maintain a clean and organized host/host area, including menus and waiting lists.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and servers to ensure smooth service flow.
- Handle phone inquiries with professionalism, providing information about the restaurant and taking reservations as needed.
- Address guest concerns promptly and courteously to ensure a positive dining experience.
- Support the team during busy periods by assisting with other duties as required.
Skills
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with guests and team members.
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on guest relations and satisfaction.
- Familiarity with Aloha POS or similar point-of-sale systems is a plus.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Knowledge of hospitality standards and practices is preferred.
- Good phone etiquette for handling reservations and inquiries professionally.
- A positive attitude and willingness to help others contribute to a welcoming atmosphere for all guests.
