Hours : 4pm to 3am with a rotating 3- and 4-day schedule
Purpose
Divergent is on the lookout for an adept and driven Service Specialist dedicated to the maintenance and enhancement of our current and forthcoming Additive Manufacturing (AM) equipment. We are committed to setting a new benchmark in aerospace and automotive manufacturing, and we need a proactive team member to help us redefine the future of manufacturing and automation.
The Role
- Maintain, enhance, and operate metal powder bed fusion additive manufacturing machines, ensuring optimal part quality, machine uptime, and production throughput within set schedules.
- Conduct scheduled preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment to uphold operational efficiency.
- Perform unplanned mechanical and electro-optical repairs, as well as machine optimizations and intra-facility equipment relocations.
- Proficiently diagnose intricate electrical and mechanical issues, meticulously document root causes of failures, and drive effective corrective actions.
- Execute complex optical and mechanical calibration procedures to uphold precision standards.
- Swiftly troubleshoot and rectify mechanical issues to minimize production downtime.
- Work with Programable Logic Controllers (PLCs) for automated systems.
- Communicate machine status effectively, along with estimated repair timelines.
- Conduct routine inspections to preempt potential maintenance requirements.
- Utilize precision measuring instruments to ensure the accuracy of repairs.
- Interpret schematics for troubleshooting purposes.
- Adhere strictly to safety protocols.
- Support performance enhancement initiatives within the production department and contribute to continuous improvement and quality programs (e.g., AS9100, IATF 16949, etc.).
- Assist in developing training programs, crafting work instructions, standard operating procedures, and provide guidance to other team members on machine maintenance tasks.
- Undertake additional responsibilities as required to meet departmental objectives.
