Engineering Technician
Diversatek Healthcare is located in Highlands Ranch, Colorado and is a world leading manufacturer and distributor of innovative G.I. Diagnostic solutions. We pioneered Impedance/pH Total Reflux Monitoring for acid and nonacid reflux, forever changing worldwide diagnostic practice for refractory GERD. Our equally innovative High Resolution Impedance Manometry (HRiM®) system provided the world with the first high resolution manometry system.
POSITION DESCRIPTION
The Medical Device Engineering Technician will be a key member of the engineering team responsible for making Diversatek’s next generation medical gastrointestinal diagnostic products. The ideal candidate will have the ability to quickly come up to speed on existing production processes and be motivated to help develop and improve these processes.
- Job Type: Full-time, first shift
- Pay: $25-35/hour
- Reports to: Engineering Manager
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Fabricate fixtures and equipment per engineer specifications
- Install and set up new equipment in a medical production environment
- Troubleshoot and repair production fixtures and equipment
- Support creation of test samples for engineering tests
- Communicate effectively with engineering and production staff
- Offer suggestions for design improvements when appropriate
- Create purchase orders for parts for equipment and fixtures
- Execute engineering tests and data entry
- Other tasks as assigned
REQUIRED SKILLS
- 3 years of experience as an assembler/technician working in research and/or production
environment - Basic electronics knowledge and troubleshooting
- Proficient with common measurement equipment (calipers, gauge pins, etc.)
- Understanding of basic manufacturing processes such as machining, injection molding, 3D
printing - Proficient with basic electronics measurement equipment (multimeter, etc.)
- Read and understand technical drawings and blueprints
- Must be able to solder fine pitch components
- Must be able to build very small assemblies using a microscope
- Strong hand/eye coordination
- Strong attention to detail
- Proficient in using a PC and using Microsoft Word and Excel
- Strong verbal and written communications skills
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
PREFERRED SKILLS
- Understanding of circuit design and troubleshooting
- Proficient with advanced electronics measurement equipment (oscilloscope, etc.)
- Proficient with advanced measurement equipment (video measurement system, tensile tester etc.)
- Experience creating basic technical drawings and blueprints
- 3D printing experience
ADDITIONAL ATTRIBUTES
- A successful candidate will be a self-starter and require minimal supervision, but able to thrive in a team environment.
- Must be a highly detail-oriented with strong organizational and strong communication skills.
- Strong work ethic with a commitment to meet deadlines and quality standards
EDUCATION/TRAINING
- Associate’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or similar is preferred
