Breakfast Attendant

POSITION SUMMARY: 

As a Breakfast Server you are responsible for greeting guests, directing guests to the buffet, refilling beverages, bussing dishes, resetting tables, keeping the restaurant clean, stocking the buffet, assisting guests in an attentive and efficient manner, and providing excellent service as per the hotel standards.  Pay is $16 per hour

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

·      Set tables for buffet service according to the hotel's service standards. 

·      Perform opening and closing procedures established for the department. 

·      Offer to refill beverages during buffet service. 

·      Check in?with guests to ensure satisfaction with food and beverage. 

·      Responsible for cleaning and removing dirty or unused plates and glassware. 

·      Immediately monitor guest comments and pass them on to your Supervisor, being pro- active in solving problems whenever possible. 

·      Have a full knowledge of the layout of the buffet, beverages, hotel and general area. 

·      Have a thorough understanding and knowledge of all food and beverage items on the menu. 

·      Check with the guest regarding the satisfaction of the meal. 

·      Complete closing duties, including restocking items, turning off lights, etc. 

·      Maintain cleanliness of work areas throughout the day. 

·      Report cleanliness and maintenance issues to the immediate supervisor. 

·      Assist in carrying out scheduled inventories of products and operating equipment. 

·      Ensure that the place of work and surrounding area is kept clean and organized at all times. 

·      Ensure proper appearance and grooming while on duty. 

·      Ensure communication between Kitchen and service team members. 

·      Monitor operating supplies, equipment and?reduce?spoilage and wastage. 

·      Assist in carrying out scheduled inventories of products and operating equipment. 

·      Perform any other assigned reasonable duties assigned by management. 

PREREQUISITES: 

·      Must be willing to work early mornings, holidays and weekends. 

·      Must be knowledgeable of the property and surrounding areas for guest requests. 

·      Friendly, outgoing personality and professional appearance required. 

·      Physical stamina and mobility including ability to reach, kneel and bend with ability to lift, push, and pull up to 25 pounds. 

·      Strong verbal communication skills required with an?understanding and ability to work in a multi-cultural environment. 

·      Must be able to work at a high volume and handle stress in a positive way. 

·      Must be able to assist guests with complaints. 

·      Must possess a server's permit. 

·      Ability to work independently with little or no supervision.
