Position Summary
Primarily responsible to greet and welcome all guests to the hotel, assist guests with their luggage and assist with parking/retrieving guests vehicles. Ensure that the highest standards of hospitality are demonstrated at all times.

- Welcome guests in a genuinely warm and courteous manner.
- Assist guests by unloading and loading luggage from their vehicle.
- Transport guest vehicles safely while documenting each pickup and drop off thoroughly.
- Assist guests by unloading and loading luggage from their rooms.
- If rooms are not available, label and store guest luggage in valet closet.
- Check the daily arrival list for VIP's, group arrivals or guests with special needs.
- Observes the “10-5” rule when guests are present.
- To be present in the lobby or out front to be ready to assist guests and visitors when requested.
- Deliver faxes, messages, packages and flowers to guests' rooms and other offices.
- Provide items on loan to guest and collect the items back from guest before departure.
- Ensure efficient delivery and collection of group luggage.
- Follow all hotel safety policies, procedures and brand standards.
- Assist with answering the telephone and taking messages, transferring calls or dealing with enquiries.
- Keep bell hallway clean and organized at all times.
- Work to exceed guest expectations every time.
- Report maintenance issues observed in parking lots and front of hotel.
- Open hotel main doors and assist guests/visitors entering and leaving the property.
- Assist guests with opening/closing vehicle doors.
- Able to provide guests with information regarding property facilities, amenities, services, hours of operation.
- Give fond farewell to all guests who are departing as per hotel standard.
- Review shift logs/daily memo books and document any relevant details or information in logbook.
- Perform any other tasks as assigned by management.
- Must have valid driver license, with clean driving record.
- An ability to drive a standard transmission a plus.
- Able to stand, walk or run for 8 hours, lift to 50 pounds and work outdoors for long periods in inclement weather including rain, snow, sleet, wind and heat.
- Must be willing to work days, nights, holidays and weekends.
- Must be knowledgeable of the property and surrounding areas, for guest requests
- Friendly, outgoing personality and professional appearance required.
- Strong verbal communication skills required with an understanding and ability to work in a multi-cultural environment.
- Must be able to work at a high volume and handle stress in a positive way.
- Must be able to assist guests with complaints.
- Ability to work independently with little or no supervision.
