Overview
Diverse Systems Group, LLC is seeking a skilled and motivated Storage and Backup Administrator who will be responsible for be responsible for ensuring the integrity, reliability, and efficiency of the storage and backup systems for the Information Technology Department at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center (WRNMMC).
Job Summary:
- Designs and administers programs to include policies, standards, guidelines, training programs, and a viable quality assurance process for disaster recovery.
- Applies and enforces all applicable policies and standards within the organization’s disaster recovery processes and workflows.
- Assists backup and recovery simulation testing across platforms that receive centralized backup and storage services.
- Oversees and reviews the testing and implementation of backup and storage technologies such as software, data systems, and data networks to ensure that the integrity and security of all electronic data and data systems are adequately protected.
- Administers day-to-day sustainment, integrity, security and availability of backup and storage platforms.
- Facilitates and supports the preparation of an organization-wide business resumption plan.
- Assists in the coordination and establishment of disaster recovery programs and business resumption planning across client server platforms.
- Provides daily operational and sustainment support for storage and backup technologies which include but are not limited to: troubleshooting, monitoring, software updates and patching, and hardware replacement of damaged components.
- Performs daily system backups, performance monitoring, capacity analysis, and maintains security posture of infrastructure systems.
- Supports and assists with cybersecurity activities regarding storage & backup system accreditation and certification.

Requirements
Skills & Abilities:
- Strong understanding of data protection concepts, encryption methods, and disaster recovery principles.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve storage and backup issues promptly.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and provide user support.
Education/Experience:
- 4 years of Storage and Backup support or equivalent experience.
Certification(s):
- Minimum certification – CompTia Security or higher certification required
- Baseline certification as stipulated in DoD 8140.01/8570.01-M shall be completed prior to start date.
Clearance:
- Must have a Secret security clearance and be able to maintain.

Salary : $90,000 - $105,000
