We are seeking a Reporting & Analytics Professional (Finance/Billing Analyst) to support billing and invoicing projects through data-driven insights and process improvements. This role involves interpreting client requirements, analyzing data, and presenting results while maintaining accuracy and accountability in billing processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Understand client requests and translate business requirements into analytic plans.
- Select appropriate data elements, craft queries, and run reports with quality assurance checks.
- Synthesize and present results for client audiences, addressing data-related inquiries.
- Create and maintain technical documentation of processes and tools.
- Serve as the subject matter expert for analytics processes and systems supporting business needs.
- Provide analytical support for billing and invoicing projects, evaluating scope and objectives.
- Conduct research, distill data insights, and evaluate current billing processes for optimization.
- Perform data entry, ensure accuracy, and resolve billing issues or discrepancies.
- Collaborate with accounting, IT, and cross-functional teams to integrate billing solutions.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree and at least 5 years of professional experience.
- Proven expertise in SQL, Visual Basic, and Microsoft Excel (including coding, macros, modeling, and reporting).
- Proficient in Microsoft Access, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong analytical and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to synthesize data and present recommendations to leadership.
- Experience working with relational databases is preferred.
- Ability to handle confidential information and work well under pressure.
- Interpersonal traits: confidence, responsiveness, flexibility, initiative, and tact.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team while interacting effectively with all personnel levels.
Preferred Skills:
- Previous experience in billing, invoicing, or accounting-related analytics.
- Familiarity with relational databases and interdependencies within systems or processes.
