Position Overview
DSG is seeking a dynamic and technically proficient End User Special Projects Lead to serve as a Technical Subject Matter Expert – Level III. This leadership role will focus on improving the end-user experience by spearheading IT modernization efforts, enhancing system security and usability, and aligning IT service delivery with enterprise goals. You will be responsible for leading complex technical projects, enforcing cybersecurity standards, and serving as an advisor on system architecture and end-user technology strategies.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management & Strategic Planning:
- Lead special IT initiatives that enhance end-user performance, cybersecurity, and service delivery.
- Develop project goals, schedules, and cross-functional execution strategies.
- Collaborate with teams across IT, security, and operations to align efforts with strategic objectives.
- Evaluate and recommend emerging technologies to support modernization and usability.
End-User Systems & Security Oversight:
- Ensure systems, applications, and infrastructure comply with DoD 8570.01-M, RMF, and other security frameworks.
- Develop and implement security standards and incident response plans.
- Conduct risk assessments, vulnerability testing, and lead mitigation strategies.
- Align security configurations with enterprise security policies and technical requirements.
Technical Leadership & Architecture:
- Serve as SME for end-user platforms and IT modernization projects.
- Architect scalable and secure systems based on TAFIM, ISO, OSI, and IEEE OSE standards.
- Identify and resolve workflow inefficiencies using automation and modern tools.
- Advise senior leadership on IT systems enhancements and compliance posture.
Compliance & Documentation:
- Draft and review critical documentation such as System Security Plans (SSPs), SOPs, CONOPS, and compliance reports.
- Support Certification & Accreditation (C&A) processes and security lifecycle documentation.
- Ensure adherence to local, state, and federal compliance requirements.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience: 6 years of progressive experience in IT project management, system architecture, cybersecurity, or end-user systems.
- Certifications Required:
- IAT III, IAM III, and CE (Professional-level cert as required for privileged access; per DoD 8570.01-M).

- Security Clearance: Must meet Tier 3 (T3) investigation and ADP/IT-II designation.
Preferred Skills & Competencies
- Strong command of DoD and federal IT security frameworks and procedures.
- Experience applying STIGs, RMF processes, and secure IT lifecycle management.
- Ability to architect and integrate enterprise systems across hybrid and legacy platforms.
- Skilled in team leadership, project delivery, and client/stakeholder engagement.
- Excellent communication skills for briefing senior leadership and producing technical documentation.
