Job Title: Outdoor Tennis Club Court Monitor
Mid-May through mid-October
$18/hour
The Tennis Club Monitor will be responsible for providing excellent customer service to tennis players and guests. This includes assisting with court reservations, greeting players, and light manual work such as maintaining the clay courts and equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet tennis players
- Assist with court reservations
- Maintain the cleanliness of the clay courts, clubhouse, trailer and surrounding areas
- Set up and take down equipment for clinics and events
- Monitor the courts to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all
- Handle transactions for court fees and other services
- Some light data entry
Qualifications:
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings and weekends
- Ability to handle electronic payment transactions
- Comfortable with computers, working knowledge of Word, Excel and similar programs
- Comfortable being outdoors in the summer heat and getting a little dirty as clay courts can be messy
This is a part-time morning position (6AM to 1PM) days will vary and weekends as needed. The Tennis Club Assistant will report to the Club Manager and work closely with other staff members.
Ideal candidate is in Chicago from mid-May through mid-October.
