This position will work a hybrid schedule from our office located in Portland, Maine.

Are you ready to be the backbone of our dynamic sales team?

Imagine yourself as part of the essential support system for our sales managers, event manager, and event director, helping them not just meet but exceed their sales goals. You'll be coordinating and assisting with special projects and programs that keep our Seafood Portfolio Group running smoothly.

Your Key Responsibilities :

  • Be the Administrative Expert : From inputting sales orders and filing contracts to maintaining the product team email inbox and forwarding leads, you'll handle it all. You'll also run reports, pull historical data, format spreadsheets, schedule meetings, take notes, and plan travel.
  • Communicate with Confidence : Support our sales managers by directly communicating with exhibitors for payment reminders and general prospecting emails.
  • Customer Service Champion : Handle administrative and customer service emails for the event director, event manager, and sales managers as needed.
  • Floor Placement : Assign companies to booths on the expo floor in line with event strategy.
  • Research and Innovate : Stay ahead of the curve by researching industry news and websites to find new leads for the sales team. Enter data for new prospects into Salesforce to keep our pipeline full.
  • Team Player Extraordinaire : Provide continuity and support to our seafood sales staff, ensuring the team meets and exceeds sales goals.
  • Collaborate and Streamline : Work with the other sales coordinator to improve processes and enhance coordination between events.

Your Skills & Qualifications :

  • Professional Background : 1-3 years of sales support or customer service experience.
  • Tech-Savvy : Prior Salesforce experience is a plus. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) is essential. You'll also learn additional software like Salesforce and A2Z for tracking sales and pulling reports.
  • Customer Service Excellence : Provide top-notch customer service both in the office and onsite at our seafood trade events.
  • Proactive and Organized : Be a self-starter who can anticipate the needs of sales reps, sales managers, the event manager, and the event director. You'll need to multitask and prioritize a large volume of inquiries and projects, especially during busy seasons.
  • Detail-Oriented : Have an aptitude for numbers, attention to detail, data integrity, and organization. Flexibility to meet changing needs as our product portfolio grows is crucial.
  • Positive Team Player : Enjoy working with people, maintain a positive attitude, and be willing to handle administrative tasks.
  • Work Environment : We're on the lookout for someone who lives within a commutable distance because this position will be based in our vibrant office located in Portland, ME.
