Product Designer

Job Summary
Diversified Control, Inc is a custom metal and plastics manufacturer with an over 40 year track record of excellence in designing and producing product for the telecommunications industry.

We are seeking a Product Designer to join our Engineering team in support of the creation and development of innovative solutions across a range of new and established product lines.

Your Role Includes the following Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with team members to understand project requirements and objectives
• Design and model components and assemblies using SolidWorks
• Develop designs from concept to manufacturing, including prints, models, bill of materials entry, and sourcing of purchased parts
• Create detailed technical drawings and documentation for manufacturing and assembly
• Work closely with Engineering and Production teams to ensure design feasibility
• Participate in design reviews and provide technical support throughout the product development life cycle

Required Experience and Knowledge:

• 2 to 5 years of recent SolidWorks design experience
• Effective verbal and written communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in a cross-functional team environment
• Strong understanding of mechanical design and drafting principles
• Problem solving mindset with the ability to think critically and communicate about design challenges
• Sheet metal and/or Plastic part design experience a plus

Pay: $28.00 - $35.00 per hour
