Overview
The General Laborer at Diversified Conveyors International, LLC (DCI) plays a vital role in supporting project operations by ensuring job sites are clean, organized, and prepared for work. Responsibilities include cleaning and preparing sites, removing debris, assembling scaffolding and temporary structures, and assisting with equipment operation and maintenance.
Duties
- Operate a variety of hand and power tools, including drills, forklifts, skid loaders, and other equipment as directed by management.
- Follow all safety procedures on the job site and report violations immediately to management.
- Load and unload construction supplies from trucks manually or with equipment.
- Maintain a safe and clean job site by properly handling and storing materials, removing unused tools and equipment, and securing the site daily.
- Assist equipment operators by signaling to facilitate alignment, movement, and adjustment of machinery, equipment, and materials.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures, including compliance with all safety regulations.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Prior experience in construction, warehousing, or a general labor role is a plus but not required.
- Ability to operate hand and power tools safely.
- Strong work ethic, dependability, and ability to follow instructions.
- Comfortable working in various weather conditions and performing physical labor, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be able to pass a 10-year background check as a condition of employment.
