What are the responsibilities and job description for the Site Superintendent - Conveyor Installation position at DIVERSIFIED CONVEYORS, Inc?
The core purpose of the Superintendent is to manage field employees and oversee conveyor system installs. The Superintendent works with the General Superintendent and the Project Manager to achieve the above. The Superintendent will report to the General Superintendent and will supervise all on site personnel.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee the install of conveyor systems and their quality.
Accurately update the tracking tool on a timely basis as required by management.
Manage all field employees on site to achieve all deadlines and quality standards.
Implement and enforce safety program to ensure an injury free site.
Ensure company assets (tools etc.) are safe and secure.
Make adaptations in the field based on ever changing conditions.
Coordinate and communicate with the Engineering, Project Management, and Field Operations Departments (and others) to better align install.
Communicate effectively with site scheduler to ensure project schedule is updated with any delays or other changes.
Ability to create and maintain positive and cordial working relationships with coworkers and owners/representatives at all levels and project capacities.
Protect the organization's value by keeping information confidential.
Complete any required paperwork in a timely and accurate fashion.
Maintain flexibility and strive to complete all other requests as directed by upper management.
Ability to draw upon general and conveyor-specific construction/installation knowledge when involved in planning activities.
Complete all Daily and Weekly Report activities as required and submit in a timely fashion.
Ability to coordinate site activities with other MEP contractors to ensure a seamless installation process.
Qualifications
- High School degree or G.E.D.
- 1-2 years of work experience in construction and mechanical installation
- Ability to lead and direct multi-tier and trade installation teams consisting of one hundred plus employees.
- Familiarity of Pull Planning technique
- Familiarity with QC/QA Inspections
- Able to pass required background checks to obtain SITA (10year background and threat assessment checks)
- Basic computer proficiency skills including Microsoft Office.
- Ability to quickly learn new technologies.
- Basic understanding of Navisworks/Autodesk products (preferred)

Position Information

Full Time position; salary with benefits
Work Schedule: 45 plus hours per week, which will include evenings and weekends.
This position will work from jobsites throughout the Unites States.
Substantial travel is required.
