POSITION SUMMARY & RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Equipment Operator acts as a support role to the plugging and abandonment program in WV, OH, & PA. The position is located out of Buckhannon, WV.
Special focus will be placed on:
- Primary focus will be supporting plugging activities with trucking of water, cement, and pipe on and off location.
- Assists in moving equipment from one site to the next.
- Prepare plugging sites for plugging operations
- Perform general maintenance on equipment, dozers, trucks, etc.
- Basic road and location remediation to allow maintain access during operations
- Other equipment operations support per management discretion.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 4 years of experience running a dozer in the oil and gas industry with experience using winch on dozer to move equipment.
- Class A CDL is a plus.
- Knowledge of local and state commercial guidelines.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
- The individual must be able to wear and properly utilize appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) to work or visit within areas where it is required. This includes hard hat, safety glasses, life vest, respirators, earplugs, steel-toed shoes, or other protective equipment as required by the work performed and location the work is being done.
- Walking, stepping, climbing, or otherwise moving from one location on the job site to another.
- Visually seeing driving operations well (either naturally or with corrective lenses).
- Standing, stooping, kneeling, squatting, climbing and sitting.
- Repetitive movements by feet, shoulders, arms wrists, hands and back in performance of work.
- Lifting 50lb objects or more occasionally.
- Adapting to outdoor conditions and prolonged exposure to sometimes adverse weather conditions.
- Remaining calm during emergencies and respond appropriately as dictated by the circumstance of the incident.
- Exposure to working outdoors in all-weather conditions.
