Position Summary & Responsibilities
The Leave Administrator is responsible for overseeing the accurate and efficient management of all employee leave requests, ensuring compliance with company policies, state and federal regulations, and maintaining records for tracking purposes. This role also serves as the point of contact for employees seeking assistance with leave-related matters.
Special focus:
- Strong knowledge of leave policies and relevant regulations on the state and federal level to ensure compliance.
- Administer and track various types of employee leave, including FMLA, workers' compensation, and ADA.
- Work with various third-party administrators on leave management.
- Maintain records of leave usage and generate reports for management on leave trends and other relevant data.
- Serve as the point of contact for managers and employees regarding leave inquiries and issues.
- Ensure accurate payroll processing concerning employee leave usage.
- Ensure compliance with data privacy laws related to employee leave records.
- Assist in updating and refining company leave policies to meet evolving legal requirements.
- Recommend improvements to current leave management processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Supports Human Resources and management teams by providing reports related to employee leaves of absence.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and compassion.
- Additional Benefit Programs
- Assist in preparing and filing required governmental reports, such as 5500s, annual compliance, and nondiscrimination testing.
- Assist with benefits yearly open enrollment.
- Other responsibilities as assigned.
Position Requirements
- Associate degree or higher level of education
- Extensive computer skills, with particular emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to interact with individuals at all levels within the organization.
- Demonstrated ability to organize and interpret data, and to problem solve.
- Ability to sit for extended hours.
