Position Summary & Responsibilities
The Procurement Specialist will report to the DGOC Procurement Manager and will be responsible for leading and conducting sourcing activities in an effort to reduce or minimize production costs for DGOC’s assets in Oklahoma, Texas & Louisiana.
The Procurement Specialist will be able to build strong relationships with internal customers and vendors, identify cost savings opportunities, develop sourcing strategies to best capture the savings and lead and execute on the strategies.
The Procurement Specialist will work closely with Production/Operations, Engineering, EHS and other internal departments and will take a leadership role in facilitating the sourcing process in an ethical manner and that results in the best value overall to DGOC. Resulting agreements should minimize DGOC’s risk of exposure.
The Procurement Specialist will travel to DGOC’s field offices from time to time as needed to meet with internal customers, attend safety meetings on behalf of the Procurement Department and conduct vendor performance reviews.
Position Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Procurement or Supply Chain.
5 years of experience in Procurement or Supply Chain with 3 years of experience sourcing in the Oil & Gas industry.
Experience in building strong relationships with internal customers.
Experienced in RFP formation, competitive bid best practices, proposal evaluations, vendor selection and contract formation.
Ability to lead cross functional sourcing teams from inception to completion of the sourcing effort with success.
Knowledge of total cost of ownership and ability to apply it to sourcing initiatives.
Experienced in Vendor Setup Process & Master Service Agreements.
Ability to manage vendor relationships that benefit both DGOC and the vendor.
Strong negotiation skills and ability to negotiate “win, win” agreements.
Possess strong critical thinking skills and analytical skills.
Strong Organizational And Communication Skills Required.
Ability to travel to DGOC’s field offices in Oklahoma, Texas & Louisiana.
Travel Required: 10% - 20%
Computer Skills Required
Proficiency with MS Office Suite including Outlook, One Drive, Word, Excel & PowerPoint
Preferred: Veriforce, PowerBi, Enertia, Open Ticket & Open Invoice
