At Diversified Foods and Seasonings (a division of Al Copeland Investments), we produce millions of pounds of top-quality, biscuit and batter mixes, spice blends, kettle-cooked side dishes and gravies annually, serving restaurants across the U.S. and globally. We are proud of our product and our team, and we’re looking for a dedicated Safety Manager to join us in Madisonville, LA!
Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive safety programs, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with Federal and State regulations.
- Conduct regular risk assessments, hazard analyses, and routine inspections to identify and mitigate safety issues.
- Create and schedule safety training programs for employees, covering emergency procedures and workplace safety.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with safety laws and regulations, such as OSHA, HACCP, and food safety standards.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses to identify causes and implement corrective actions.
- Develop and maintain emergency response plans, including evacuation procedures and first-aid protocols.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by direct supervisor.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in occupational health & safety, or a related field.
- Proven knowledge of safety regulations, including OSHA and food safety standards.
- 5 years of related industrial safety professional experience
- Professional Safety Certification
- Extensive knowledge of environmental regulations and policies.
