Self-starting Lighting Controls Field Service Technician capable of delivering superior customer service experience while performing system startup, troubleshooting and end user training for lighting control systems.
RESPONSIBILITIES & EXPECTATIONS:
- Performs onsite lighting control system startup, troubleshooting and end user training.
- Review project documentation and specifications and control scheme including sequence of operation to ensure system installations match the plans and meet the end user's expectations.
- Work with integration technicians, building owners, building managers, and contractors to address any technical issues with lighting control integration, and function.
- Properly document and track all project information to drive to a successful completion in a timely manner.
- Work independently outside of the office 90% of the time.
- Manage RMA/Warranty process
- Coordinate product installation on site
- Additional Miscellaneous tasks as assigned
- Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications.
- Understanding of basic electrical components (relays, drivers, ballasts).
- Understand and keep up to date with Building code requirements
- Performs onsite troubleshooting by way of being a critical thinker and utilizing problem-solving skills
- Superb customer service, communication (both written and oral), and self-management skills
- Good organizational and time management skills, attention to detail and be able to effectively handle multiple priorities.
- Ability to adapt to dynamic work schedules and flexible shifts
- Operate vehicle in a safe manner
- Team player
- Awareness of chemical, health and safety issues
- Ability to work safely on a dynamic working construction site
- Two years’ experience preferred
- Associates Degree, Technical Degree, or equivalent
- Active construction site environment
- Full time 40 hours
- Flexible start time and location
- Expected days on construction sites is 90%
- Expected overnight travel of less than 10%
- Ability to climb stairs, ladders, and lift 30lbs
- Ability to use a screw driver, cable crimper and electrical test equipment
