Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to oversee and manage construction projects from inception to completion specializing in drywall, acoustical and EIFS projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires strong leadership skills, a keen eye for detail, and a thorough understanding of construction processes and methodologies. Fluent in Spanish preferred.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily operations on the construction site, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
- Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, laborers, and other personnel involved in the project.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring timely completion of all phases of construction.
- Implement quality control measures to ensure that all work meets project specifications and industry standards.
- Utilize construction management software such as ProCore and/or Foundation for project tracking and reporting.
- Prepare and manage budgets, including tracking expenses and forecasting costs throughout the project lifecycle.
- Review contracts and ensure adherence to contractual obligations by all parties involved.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and address any issues that arise during construction.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to facilitate effective communication and problem-solving.
- Maintain accurate documentation of project activities, including progress reports, change orders, and meeting minutes.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Construction Superintendent or in a similar role within the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of construction management software (e.g., ProCore).
- Familiarity with quality control processes and techniques in construction projects.
- Proficient in using tools such as Bluebeam for project documentation and collaboration.
- Experience with project scheduling methodologies to ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Understanding of contract management principles related to construction projects.
- Ability to read blueprints, drawings, and specifications effectively.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead teams effectively.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on delivering solutions under pressure.
