Key Accountabilities / Core Job Responsibilities :
National Access Strategy and Reimbursement :
- Provides expertise on coverage and reimbursement to ensure seamless access via effective strategies and efficient processes, working directly with key stakeholders across the patient access journey.
- Lead the development, maintenance and delivery of training for resources and tools that empower account and patient support teams to navigate evolving access & reimbursement dynamics (i.e. reimbursement processes, claims submissions, procedures and coding requirements of payer organizations including commercial, local, government, etc.)
- Analyze trends and barriers and develop strategies to anticipate and prevent patient access issues; translate strategies into actionable plans.
- Responsible for the account access and reimbursement dashboard to support the reporting and analysis of key measures.
- Remain current on key managed care, reimbursement and policy activities and the implications for patient access. Communicate policy updates and payer trends related to approved products to key stakeholders.
- Partner effectively with members of the account team, serving as the reimbursement expert to provide support to healthcare providers for escalated patient-level access issues.
- Maintain a deep understanding of Hunter syndrome and MPS therapy area, customer needs and market access dynamics.
