We have just celebrated our 49th year in business. We are seeking a Production Control Coordinator to join our efforts to take our company to a new level. This includes customer service along with preparing orders for production. This person works closely with the operations manager, purchasing manager and sales department team. General Purpose: As the Production Control Coordinator you will be responsible for preparing orders for production along with communicating and working as part of a team. This person works closely with the operations manager, purchasing manager and sales department team.
- Estimate job time, materials, man-hours and methods of production.
- Accurately enter procedures into the ERP systems.
- Requisition materials not already in inventory.
- Review for accuracy of dimensions and tolerances.
- Assists in ordering and maintaining database in conjunction with purchasing manager.
- Maintains cut-up logs,
- Run inventory levels of raw materials and finished goods.
- Become proficient with scheduling and planning of jobs.
- Collaborate with sales staff on quoting for efficiency and profitability.
- Organize and distribute job travelers to production leads.
- Must have or develop (A) ability to estimate time and materials required for manufacture of product, (B) possess a working knowledge of mechanical function and a variety of materials (C) Good verbal and written communication skills, (D) problem-solving skills, (E) creativity, (F) basic computer skills, (G) service-oriented disposition, (H) positive sales ability with a “can do” attitude and business acumen.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in production control, inventory or manufacturing related work preferred. Pay DOE.
Industrial Plastic knowledge and/or plastic manufacturing experience preferred.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
Work is completed in an office setting with occasional outside travel required. Employee is required to occasionally stand, sit, walk, use hands for typing, writing, handling papers and office equipment, as well as product. Must be able to see at close distance, talk, and hear. Must be able to travel independently and drive..
