Job Description
Security Operation Command Center Officer
Objective
This position is under the direct supervision of the site supervisor and is responsible for the protection, safeguarding, and security of assets, personnel, customers, and all visitors.
Essential Functions
Read and understand the English language to effectively carry out applied printed rules, detailed orders, instructions, and training materials. Have a command of both the written and spoken English language to properly communicate in person or via electronic devices (telephone and radio) with co-workers and the general public. Maintaining a professional, tactful and courteous demeanor under stressful situations security personnel routinely encounter. Be able to compose precise short paragraphs, written reports, and other reports in English as necessary.]
Shifts Available:
Full-Time 40 hours: Monday-Wednesday, Saturday -Sunday (2200 to 0600 hours).
Part Time - 32 hours: Sunday-Monday (1400 to 2200) Friday-Saturday (0600 to 1400).
Job Duties
- Monitor CCTV and alarm systems.
- Manage access control.
- Conduct routine patrols around premises.
- Respond promptly to security threats and emergencies.
- Provide incident reports as necessary.
- Note and report damage or defects to physical security measures
- Support access control and identity management procedures
- May perform other related duties as assigned by the Supervisor
- Ensure adherence to all NERC CIP (Critical Infrastructure Protection) standards.
- Provide 24/7 monitoring and response.
- Complete 80-hour training program
- Support access control and identity management procedures
Candidate Qualifications:
Must be a Lawful Permanent Resident who is currently a member of, or who possesses a verifiable honorable discharge from, any component of the United States Armed Forces OR a U.S. Citizen
Must have been issued a Social Security Card by the Social Security Administration
Must be 21 years of age
Must be a high school/GED graduate
Must have the following:
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
- 1-2 years of experience in security law enforcement OR of military service (active duty or reserve) with an honorable discharge
- Valid state security guard license or certification
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Experience with surveillance systems or access control required
- Customer service experience
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate with a team during emergencies
- Proven experience in a 24/7 watch office or emergency response environment
- Expertise in security procedures, crisis management, emergency response
- Manage access control.
