What are the responsibilities and job description for the Controls Engineer position at Diversified Recruitment Services, LLC?
Position Summary: The Controls Engineer will conduct programming, new machine installation, upgrades and troubleshooting. Will work with a variety of equipment and technical systems, including, but not limited to; PLC systems, production robots, Servo systems, and SCADA systems.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Support production by troubleshooting and programming existing and new plant automation equipment
- Program and design new and existing PLC controls
- Programming of robots
- Travel to sister plants as needed for support
- Maintain consistent schedule and timelines for projects and tasks for multiple plant projects
- Working with production and process to optimize low, cycle time issues and quality concerns through changes in programming or troubleshooting
- Help plan preventative maintenance plans for equipment
- Work to help develop new technology for the plant to improve cycle times and quality detection/prevention systems
- Help train plant techs and engineers on controls related skills
- Work with plant teams to help develop accurate quoting models
Education and Qualifications:
Education:
- BSEE or BSME Degree required
- 3-5 Years of experience programming and troubleshooting PLCs and Robots
- Allen Bradley experience
- Fanuc and ABB Robot
- Demonstrated knowledge of ladder logic programming, PLC 5, SLC500, ControlLogix, MicroLogix, RIO, Ethernet I/P, DeviceNet
